For those crying about the 2.00 fee to go out onto the pier...stop. The money is used to maintain the Pier. Great views out into the ocean, and back towards the beach. Great for fishing. Place also … Full review by dave911nj

Sorry but we biked to the pier only to find out there is a fee, yes please-pay$$ to walk onto what is a free site at 99% of other resort areas. Full review by kaamacat

It is located North on Hwy 12 in Rodanthe an also known as Serendipity. I looked it up on line a while ago and it is very expensive to rent high season in the Summer. It also sleeps a lot so I guess if you were to split the cost between a couple of families it would be a little more affordable.
