Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s latest prediction says the Cupertino company is working on an entirely new product: a smart home IP (Internet Protocol) camera. According to Kuo’s post on Medium, the device will go into mass production in 2026.

It appears Apple’s rumored push into the smart home will include an Apple smart security camera. Supply-chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports the company is planning to start production of a smart home IP camera in 2026 and aims to sell over 10 million units a year.

Seattle-area smart-home device maker Wyze Labs and Amazon-owned Ring, among others, could be set to face new competition in the home security camera market from Apple.
