Senate Republicans met on Tuesday night to hear from the three candidates to succeed Mitch McConnell, and Rick Scott left with two new endorsements.

President-elect Donald Trump appears set to choose Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) as his secretary of state despite some opposition from allies of Richard Grenell.

Sen. John Thune is likely to receive the most votes in the first round of voting, but Sen. John Cornyn and Sen. Rick Scott together would likely have more votes total.
